Inspired by an article from our Reset Guide, we are diving deeper into the subconscious. Considering that we spend almost one third of our life dreaming, we were curious about where our minds go to play each night. In an effort to better understand what our dreams are made of, we created an insightful guide that dives into seven common dream symbols and what they mean.

Falling
You might notice that falling in a dream has felt so real at times that you wake in a jolt. Falling in a dream mimics anxiety or the loss of control in your life.
Food
Food is a direct symbol of nourishment, from an abstract perspective. For example, sharing a meal with other people could mean a need for social nourishment versus a bowl of comfort food could show you a need for emotional nourishment.
Water
Water serves as a stream into your emotions – just as in real life when water serves as a mirror of your reflection. Dreams with large bodies of water symbolize great possibilities while dreams with rain present a sense of renewal.

Being Late
Tardiness in a dream is a direct reflection of feeling like you are not prepared for an upcoming event in your life. It can also translate as a fear of missing out on something. To offset these feelings, take time in your day to intentionally slow down.
Death
Death usually means a dream that comes with a scary connotation. Death in dreams typically symbolize a life transition – think of it as letting go of something or someone to make room for new growth.
Flying
Soaring through the sky with no restraints is a feeling that we all get a sense of freedom through. Dreams with flight can be interpreted as a need to see things from a fresh perspective or feeling close to achieving a nearby goal.
A House
A house can symbolize your innermost structure and how you see yourself. The rooms you craft can provide perspective into past memories or current emotions.
