I share this memory because it truly laid the foundation for what the Cultivating Conversations Coffee Club is built upon: the idea that we are all craving genuine connection, and as a brand, we have a unique opportunity to create that space. The community that orbits around Wilde House is something truly special, and I feel a deep responsibility to help you all find each other. I’ve seen the beautiful friendships that can form within this community, and I know that many of you are looking for those same connections.

We all have different journeys with friendship. Some of us have childhood friends who are like sisters, others have college friends we still keep in touch with, and many of us have friendships that, while special, no longer fill us up in the same way because we’ve evolved. It’s this last category of friendship that really interests me. As a brand built on personal evolution, I want to create more space to acknowledge that it’s completely normal to outgrow relationships along the way. The heart of our Cultivating Conversations Coffee Club is to help you find like-minded people who are on their own journey of growth—people who are open, willing to work on themselves, and looking for others who are doing the same. This was my hope when creating the club, and when I hosted our first NYC gathering, that vision came to life in a way that was even more special than I could have imagined.

One host, nine guests. Ten people coming together as strangers and leaving as new friends. What stood out to me most was how quickly the walls came down and how engaging the conversations were right from the start. Our Cultivating Conversation Card Deck played a big role in this, asking the kinds of questions that spark deeper connection—questions we might not think to ask on our own. For example, my question was, “What is something you do now that used to scare you?” This opened up space for me to talk about things I wouldn’t typically bring up when meeting someone for the first time. But that mix of discomfort and the feeling that we’re all in this together creates a potent energy of self-confidence.

There’s something truly powerful about putting yourself out there and being met with others doing the same. It breeds a sense of excitement, vulnerability, and inspiration. What started as standard introductions about our careers and interests soon turned into sharing intimate memories of childhood and the dreams that often feel too scary to say aloud. In that moment, I realized we had created something incredibly special—and this is only the beginning.

Since then, we’ve hosted four more clubs in Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego. We announce new cities every two weeks, and we’ve received over 500 submissions from people around the world asking us to come to their cities.
